5 Go-To Simple Healthy Meals For a Busy Holiday Season

The holidays are great. We can spend time with our loved ones gathered around a table full of delicious food, surrounded by those we hold dear. I mean, there is nothing like it. But the added events in your life can become a form of conflict in your personal life. Not having enough time for your daily routine or daily checklist can be frustrating. That’s why I like to have 5 simple healthy meals for the holiday season. Ones that I can be happy about eating and feeding my husband.

High Protein Yogurt Breakfast Bowl

This is a tried and true. It is a staple for me.

Speedy Leftover Salad
  • Pre-washed mixed greens
  • Leftover protein from last night’s dinner (chicken, salmon, chickpeas)
  • Something crunchy (shredded carrots, favorite seeds, or croutons)
  • Favorite dressing (olive oil and vinegar)

Super simple, but if you want to add some bulk, you could prep some veggies at the beginning of the week to have on hand.

Easy Peasy Pasta
  • Fav pasta
  • Store-bought sauce (pesto, alfredo, your choice)
  • sauteed chicken/shrimp
  • cherry tomatoes (adds so much flavor and texture)

Make a large quantity and store it in a container. Eat it all week. I do.

Protein and Veggie Sheet Pan
  • Favorite Protein (Chicken Thighs)
  • Favorite Veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, carrots)
  • Olive oil and favorite seasoning
  • lemon juice after baking

Sheet, there’s nothing easier than a sheet pan recipe.

Smoothies For Dinner
  • Frozen Banana/Mango (for creaminess)
  • A handful of Spinach
  • Protein Powder (essential for making it a complete meal)
  • Milk (Almond, Oat, or Cow’s)
  • A spoonful of Flax or Chia Seeds

I only do this recipe when I am really tired and have zero energy to give.

Those are my 5 go-to simple, healthy meals for a busy holiday season. We absolutely love them in my house and have saved both my husband and me from getting hangry. Mostly me hahaha. I hope it brings you some peace this holiday season.

If you need some tips for healthy dinners, I’ve included some here.

I love you.
