She Surprised Me With Baby Number Two.

There just isn’t enough time. I have been taking on what seems to be a very active role in my niece’s life. Why am I obsessed with my family? LOL. I mean, first it was my older sister and her children. I took that on for a hot minute and absolutely loved it. Then my twin sister needed me, so I became what she needed me to be through her postpartum. Now my niece is starting to move and connect the dots, and there’s no way we aren’t taking full advantage of her firing neurons. So, of course, we are reading to her, doing flash cards, doing a lot of face-to-face interactions, and working on her mobility. And then BOOM! Out of nowhere, Biry decides to hit me with a bombshell of an announcement. She’s pregnant with number two.

Girl. Girl… GIRRRRRLLLLLLL! I’m barely staying afloat LOL.

I can’t help it that the children in my family have me in a chokehold. It’s just the way I’m built. You either get zero or one hundred with me, and these kids, they’re getting me at 150.

You know when you make plans with your bestie and she assures you that she isn’t having any more children because she can’t do this to us again. Well, you can’t help but feel a certain type of way when she, in fact, does get pregnant again. LOL. I mean, bra, we had plans (ugly cry). We were going to go back to school together. We were going to travel once Deny got a little older. You were just getting back to normal (UGLY CRY MORE).

At the end of the day, I am super excited that Deny will have a baby sister so close in age (Team Girl). I am also super excited that there will be another little part of my sister in this world, but two things can be true. I can be elated, over the moon for this new addition to our family, and sad that my twin sister, my best friend, who was just getting back to her old self, was, in fact, not coming back just yet.

We were just getting back to a place where we recognized each other again. And although what I am about to say might sound selfish, I was looking forward to having my twin sister back. Not the new mom she had become, or the wife she was becoming. But my twin sister. Regardless, this next chapter is about to be a whirlwind, and I am ready to give it 150. Send good vibes.

She’s really got to chill with this growing family though LOL!
